Using this website
The website is designed so visitors can navigate with a keyboard, follow a visible focus indicator, skip repeated navigation, enlarge or reflow content, use clear headings and labels, and reduce non-essential motion through their device preference.
The enquiry form is not the only way to contact Purple Frog Signs. You can email info@purplefrogsigns.com or telephone 01303 656 111 if the form is not suitable for you.
Accessibility measures in the current website
- Semantic header, navigation, main and footer landmarks, with a keyboard-visible skip link
- One main heading per page, structured subheadings and descriptive page titles
- Native links, buttons, form controls and disclosure elements wherever practical
- Visible focus treatment, tested colour combinations and labelled form fields
- Form error summaries, field-level messages and status announcements
- Keyboard operation and focus return for the mobile navigation and cookie controls
- Reduced-motion and forced-colour support, with no autoplaying or flashing content
- Intrinsic image dimensions and text alternatives or deliberately empty alt text for decorative images
Testing completed so far
Local checks completed on 18 and 19 August 2026 included rendered HTML structure, headings, metadata, image alternatives and dimensions, homepage FAQ consistency, representative keyboard paths, focus behaviour, mobile navigation, form errors, reduced motion, forced-colour rules, colour contrast and responsive layouts from narrow mobile to desktop widths.
These checks are useful evidence, but automated and developer testing cannot identify every barrier or replace testing with disabled people and current assistive technologies. A subsequent live-site audit of all 70 sitemap URLs checked heading counts, page titles and the presence of image alt attributes. These checks do not establish whether every heading or image description is appropriate, or whether the website meets WCAG requirements.
Known limitations and work still to verify
Further accessibility testing of the live website remains outstanding. This includes testing with VoiceOver and NVDA screen readers, automated accessibility checks, keyboard navigation and visible focus, browser zoom at 200%, reflow at 400%, and Windows high-contrast settings. We will review the findings and address identified barriers.
Some retained legacy PDF documents are image-led or untagged and may be harder to use with assistive technology. They are kept at their existing addresses for migration continuity while their content and replacement treatment are reviewed. Contact us to request information from one of those documents in another reasonable format.
Images, captions, link wording and other CMS content need accessibility checks whenever they are added or updated.
Tell us about an accessibility problem
If you cannot access information or complete a task, tell us which page or document you were using, what you were trying to do and, if you are comfortable sharing it, the browser or assistive technology involved. Email info@purplefrogsigns.com or telephone 01303 656 111.
We will use the information to investigate the barrier and discuss a practical alternative.
Statement preparation
This statement was originally prepared on 19 August 2026 and updated on 14 September 2026 to reflect the website’s launch. It will be reviewed following further accessibility testing and significant changes to the website.
