Signage & print

Large-format print prepared for the size, surface and setting

Purple Frog Signs provides large-format print for rigid signs and display boards, window and wall films, banners, posters, hoarding, vehicle graphics and exhibition applications. We check artwork at final scale and match the print, finish and mounting method to its use. Where colour is critical, we can agree proofs or samples and explain how material, laminate and illumination may affect the result.

Available for projects across Kent, London, Surrey, Sussex, Essex and the wider South East.

  1. Poster frames and display cases

Snapframes, poster frames and enclosed poster cases provide a practical way to present changeable printed posters and notices. The appropriate frame or case depends on the location, poster size, mounting surface, frequency of updates and whether additional protection or security is required.

File quality at full size

A file that looks sharp on screen may not contain enough detail for a large print. We assess pixel dimensions, effective resolution, compression, colour, fonts, transparency, bleed and cut paths at the actual output size.

Vector artwork is ideal for logos, type and line graphics. Photographs require sufficient original data for the viewing distance and intended finish. Artificially enlarging a small image does not restore missing detail.

Colour and finish

Screen colour is emitted light; print is reflected light. Materials, inks, laminate, texture and illumination all change appearance. Use supplied brand references and, for colour-critical work, agree a proof or sample process rather than promising an exact screen match.

Gloss, matt and specialist finishes affect reflection, contrast, cleaning and perceived saturation. Lamination can add protection or alter the finish, but is not automatically required for every indoor print.

Project details that help us quote

Send the site postcode, photographs, approximate dimensions, quantity, required wording, brand files, preferred timescale and whether you need design, removal, delivery or installation. It is fine if the material or construction is not yet decided.

Material guide

Common materials, explained clearly

These visual guides show common material characteristics rather than completed Purple Frog Signs projects. The final specification still depends on location, construction, lifespan, finish and fixing method.

illustration of ACM

ACM / aluminium composite material

A rigid, stable panel commonly used for flat signs and trays. Different grades and finishes are available; suitability depends on the construction and environment.

illustration of foamex

Foamex / expanded PVC sheet

A lightweight, smooth-faced board often used for indoor displays and suitable shorter-term applications. Thickness and use must be matched to the installation.

Illustration of vinyl and printable films

Vinyl and printable films

A broad family of materials used for lettering, windows, walls, panels and vehicles. Adhesive, conformability, opacity, finish and removability vary significantly.

Banner materials and mesh

Flexible printed media for temporary or event use. Mesh can help manage wind load in exposed positions, but the supporting structure and fixing method still matter.

Useful answers

Questions people often ask

Clear answers to the practical details that can affect a project.

Read all frequently asked questions
What is the largest size you can print?

Maximum single-piece width depends on the selected material and current production route. Larger graphics can be tiled or panelled. Confirm the finished dimensions and application rather than relying on one generic machine width.

Can you print artwork made in Canva?

Sometimes. Export at the correct dimensions using a print-quality PDF where possible, include bleed if required and avoid low-resolution imported images. We will check the supplied file before production.

Do you offer contour cutting?

Contour-cut graphics can be produced where appropriate. Artwork may need an accurate vector cut path and sufficient spacing around small detail.

Can you print one item?

Many large-format products are suitable for one-off production. Minimum practical order depends on setup, material and finishing rather than a universal quantity.
