Vinyl and printable films
A broad family of materials used for lettering, windows, walls, panels and vehicles. Adhesive, conformability, opacity, finish and removability vary significantly.
Purple Frog Signs designs, produces and installs window graphics for branding, privacy, promotion, decoration and clear communication. We select the film and application method according to the glass, intended lifespan, viewing direction, lighting, coverage and need for future removal. We also consider how the design will read from both sides.
Available for projects across Kent, London, Surrey, Sussex, Essex and the wider South East.
Glass type, coatings, orientation, seals, thermal risk and landlord restrictions can affect film selection. Privacy also changes with relative lighting. A film that appears private in daylight may behave differently after dark when the interior is brighter, so no product should be described as universally one-way or private at all times.
For glazing manifestations, the responsible client or design team must confirm the applicable building and accessibility requirements. Purple Frog Signs can develop and produce the agreed visual treatment but must not claim that a generic pattern automatically makes every installation compliant.
The layout should account for mullions, handles, doors, eye lines, displays and the way the glass is seen from inside and outside. Decide which side is the primary reading direction, whether colour should remain correct through the glass and which information must stay visible when promotional graphics change.
Accurate pane sizes, access, glass condition, silicone lines and obstructions matter. Large or closely registered designs usually justify a survey. The glass must be cleaned and prepared using methods compatible with the selected film; the client should protect the installation from cleaning or disturbance during the stated settling period.
Send the site postcode, photographs, approximate dimensions, quantity, required wording, brand files, preferred timescale and whether you need design, removal, delivery or installation. It is fine if the material or construction is not yet decided.
Material guide
These visual guides show common material characteristics rather than completed Purple Frog Signs projects. The final specification still depends on location, construction, lifespan, finish and fixing method.

Clear answers to the practical details that can affect a project.
Read all frequently asked questionsFrosted film obscures detail and can provide effective visual privacy, but exact performance depends on film, lighting, viewing distance and the area covered. Samples or a site assessment can help define expectations.
Large areas of transparent glazing may require visible manifestation depending on the building and applicable standards. The responsible designer or client should confirm the project’s requirement; Purple Frog Signs can produce the approved design and specification.
Many films can be removed, but ease of removal depends on product, age, exposure, adhesive and glass condition. Specify temporary use at the outset so an appropriate film can be selected.
Often, using a reverse-printed or layered construction, but colour, white ink or backing may be needed. The exact method depends on the artwork, glass and desired appearance from each side.

Chris made an etching for my brand new clinic door. It looks amazing and my clients love it. It just finishes it off and makes it look more professional as you come in.
